• Straight forward, objective, mundane, banal, genre, every-day-life

• Hyperrealism, 1990's/2000's
• Socially Conscious, culture/politics/issues
• Emotive; Invocative/Evocative/Provocative
• Encourages viewrs to become voyeurs on situations that may make them feel uncomfortable
