Webheads; Finishing out the Semester

Between health issues, Caitlin's Academy class, Nick's cattle business, Brianna's baby, and no doubt soon to be occasional inclement weather- we may not always be able to meet as regularly as I'd like, so I am going to post the remaining assignments here and expect you to be responsible for managing your time and responsibilities for this class.

I will distribute review sheets for the Final exam soon.

Tutorial 4; Designing a Web Page with Tables, pp. 174-231
This may be time consuming, but it is GREAT to know because it will help you have a lot more control over how your pages look. Essentially tables give you the power to lay out web pages like print pages!
Plan on having this test on Tuesday, November 23
Review the terms on pg.231(you  may even want to transcribe them into a notebook, since my quizzes are open-note, especially since we're bypassing powerpoint lectures/note taking)

  • 4.1 Quick Check questions 1-7 on page 187 DUE Thr 11/18
  • 4.2 Quick Check questions1-7 on page 209- DUE Fri 11/19

Tutorial 6; Designing a Web Page with Tables, pp. 291-231
Forms allow you to make you pages interactive. This is how you can have your viewers send you information. Mind you, it is easier and more fun to use google docs to do this and then embed them into your pages, but as always, it's important that you know how to do it the hard way so that you can make the easy ways work even better!
Plan on having this test on Friday, December 10

If you are discouraged by your test scores for other chapters, or worried about how well you'll do on the Final, you may want to do all or at least some of the work for this chapter. Besides, CSS is a skill that will be very useful for you in the future, if you decide to continue creating websites for fun or profit.
